Price of car = Rs. 36,000 A gives 8% discount on Rs. 20,000 and 5% on Rs. 16,000 => Price charged by A = $$[20,000-(frac{8}{100} imes20,000)]+[16,000-(frac{5}{100} imes16,000)]$$ = $$(20,000-1600)+(16,000-800)=Rs.$$ $$33,600$$ Similarly, Price charged by B = $$36,000-(frac{7}{100} imes36,000)$$ = $$36,000-2520=Rs.$$ $$33,480$$ => Ans - (D)
