Let cost price of 1 kg of cashew nuts = $$Rs. x$$
If Selling price of 1 kg of cashew nuts = Rs. 1260 => Loss % = $$frac{x - 1260}{x} imes 100 = 8$$ => $$frac{x - 1260}{x} = frac{8}{100} = frac{2}{25}$$ => $$25x - 31500 = 2x$$ => $$25x - 2x = 23x = 31500$$ => $$x = frac{31500}{23} approx 1369.5$$ When selling price = Rs. 1386 => Profit % = $$frac{1386 - 1369.5}{1369.5} imes 100$$ = $$frac{1650}{1369.5} approx 1.2\%$$ => Ans - (A)
