    Let cost price of washing machine = $$Rs. 100x$$ => Cost price of chimney = $$Rs. (57,750 - 100x)$$ Selling price of chimney (34% profit) = Selling price of washing machine (24% loss) => $$frac{134}{100} imes (57,750 - 100x) = frac{76}{100} imes 100x$$ => $$77385 - 134x = 76x$$ => $$x = frac{77385}{210} = 368.5$$ => Cost price of washing machine = $$100 imes 368.5 = Rs. 36,850$$ => Cost price of cooker = $$57,750 - 36,850 = Rs. 20,900$$ $$ herefore$$ Cooker is cheaper with cost price = Rs. 20,900
