Let the boy leaves his home from origin and walks 45 m in south-west direction and then 145 m in north-east direction. Then, he moves 60 m in south direction. Thus, distance between his initial and final position = $$sqrt{(100)^2-(60)^2}$$ = $$sqrt{10000-3600}=sqrt{6400}=80$$ m => Ans - (B)
