Let Suraj started from point A and walked 20 m south to reach B, then turned left and walked for 18 m to reach point C, again turned left for 18 m and finally stopped at point E. Thus, AE = $$sqrt{(18+10)^2+(20-18)^2}$$ => $$AE = sqrt{784+4}=sqrt{788}$$ m $$ herefore$$ Suraj is $$sqrt{788}$$ m in south-east direction from his starting point. => Ans - (B)
