Let the distance between A and B be = $$3d$$ km Distance covered at the speed of 4 km/hr = $$frac{1}{3} imes3d=d$$ km Thus, remaining distance covered at the speed of 5 km/hr = $$(3d-d)=2d$$ km Using, time = distance/speed => $$frac{d}{4}+frac{2d}{5}=26$$ => $$frac{(5d+8d)}{20}=26$$ => $$d=26 imesfrac{20}{13}$$ => $$d=2 imes20=40$$ $$ herefore$$ Distance between A and B (in km) = $$3 imes40=120$$ => Ans - (C)
