Let the ratio in which 40% acid be mixed with that of 60% acid = $$x:y$$ According to ques, => $$40x+60y=49(x+y)$$ => $$40x+60y=49x+49y$$ => $$49x-40x=60y-49y$$ => $$9x=11y$$ => $$frac{x}{y}=frac{11}{9}$$ $$ herefore$$ Required ratio = 11 : 9 => Ans - (C)
