Speed $$= 2km/hr = frac{100}{3} m/min$$
Volume of water flowing into sea = Depth of river $$ imes$$ Width of River $$ imes$$ Rate of flow
$$=3 imes 40 imes frac{100}{3} = 4000 m^3$$
$$1 m^3 = 1000$$ litres
Volume of water flowing into sea $$= 40,00,000$$ litres
Hence Option B is the correct answer.
