Since, ratio of areas of two similar triangles is equal to the ratio of squares of any two corresponding sides. BC = 3 cm , EF = 4 cm => $$frac{ riangle ABC}{ riangle DEF} = frac{BC^2}{EF^2}$$ => $$frac{54}{ riangle DEF} = frac{9}{16}$$ => $$ riangle DEF = frac{54 * 16}{9} = 96 cm^2$$
