The average age of a class of 6 girls = $$x$$ years => Total age of 6 girls = $$6x$$ years Sum of ages of 4 new girls = $$(x-2)+(x+2)+(x+4)+(x+6)=(4x+10)$$ years => New average age of 10 girls = $$frac{6x+4x+10}{10}$$ = $$frac{10(x+1)}{10}=x+1$$ years => Ans - (A)
