    According to the question, 16th July is Sunday Number of days left in July = $$31-16=15$$ Similarly, odd days from 16th July till 1st August = $$(15+1)\%7$$ = $$1+1=2$$ Now, dividing 2 by 7, remainder = 2 Thus, day on 1st August = Sunday (+2) = Tuesday => Ans - (A)
