Let B remained in the business for $$x$$ months. Amount invested by A = Rs. 3600 Amount invested by B = Rs. 4000 Ratio of share in profit received by A and B => $$frac{3600 imes 12}{4000 imes x} = frac{6}{5}$$ => $$frac{9 imes 2}{10 imes x} = frac{1}{5}$$ => $$x = frac{18 imes 5}{10} = 9$$ $$ herefore$$ B joined the business after = $$12 - 9 = 3$$ months from the start of the business.
