    Number of IT employees = 20% of 2040 = 408 Number of IT employees promoted = 26% of 1200 = 312 Half of these are males => number of male IT employees promoted = 156 => Percentage of male IT employees promoted = $$frac{156}{408}*100$$ = 38%
