18.2% of 890 = (18.2 *890)/100 = $$18.2 imes 8.9$$ = $$2 imes 9.1 imes 8.9$$ = $$ 2 imes [(9-0.1)(9+0.1)] $$ =$$ 2 imes (9^{2} - 0.1^{2})$$ = $$2 imes (81 - 0.01)$$ = $$ 2 imes 80.99 $$ =161.98
