Let side of square = $$s$$ cm and its diagonal = $$d$$ cm Area = $$s^2=40.5$$ Now, $$d^2=s^2+s^2$$ => $$d^2=40.5+40.5=81$$ => $$d=sqrt{81}=9$$ cm => Ans - (A)
