2GM = BC (where M is the midpoint of BC)
thus BM = MG = MC
∠ MGB and ∠GBM are equal
∠MGC and ∠GCM are equal
so ∠MGB + ∠MGC = ∠GBM + ∠GCM
that is ∠BGC = ∠GBM + ∠GCM
