It is given that together A B C D contributed Rs 60 So A+B+C+D = 60 It is given that A contributed half of what B , C ,D pays . So , assume B,C,D pays Rs y and hence amount payed by A is Rs y/2 y + $$frac{y}{2}$$ = 60 y = 40 , amount paid by A = $$frac{y}{2}$$ = 20 It is given that B contributed 1/3rd of what A , C ,D pays . So , assume A,C,D pays Rs z and hence amount payed by B is Rs z/3
z + $$frac{z}{3}$$ = 60 z =45 amount paid by B = $$frac{z}{3}$$ = Rs 15 It is given that C contributed 1/4th of what A , B ,D pays . So , assume A,B,D pays Rs m and hence amount payed by C is Rs m/4
m + $$frac{m}{4}$$ = 60 m = 48 amount paid by C = $$frac{m}{4}$$ = Rs 12 So amount paid by D = 60 - (12+15+20) = Rs 13
