    Let the plane starts from point A and travels west for 100 km and reaches B, then it turns South and reaches C after travelling 150 km. Then again it turns west for 300 km and finally reaches point E. Thus, AE = 100 + 300 = 400 km $$ herefore$$ The plane is 400 km to the west of its initial position. => Ans - (C)
