let the present age of C be y years So age of B will be y-3 years And present age of A will be y-1 years 6 years hence age of A will be y+5 and age of B 2 years was y-5 It is given that $$frac{y+5}{y-5}$$=$$frac{5}{3}$$ y = 20 years Hence age of C before 6 years = 20 -6 =14 years
