Number of candidates from city D = 2.27 lakhs Ratio of pass : fail = 1: 3 So, number of fail = $$ frac{3}{3+1}*2.27$$ = 1.7 lakhs Number of candidates from city A = 1.25 lakhs Ratio of pass : fail = 7 : 3 So, number of fail = $$ frac{3}{3+7}*1.25$$ = 37,500
Ratio = 1,70,000 : 37,500. The closest ratio among the answers is (c)
