Let Mr. Sharma initially has Rs. $$100x$$ Amount received by Mr. Sharma and his wife (%) = 12 + 22 = 34% => Remaining amount (%) = 100 - 34 = 66% = $$frac{66}{100} imes 100x = 66x$$ Acc. to ques, => $$(frac{8}{8 + 7} imes 66x) - (frac{7}{8 + 7} imes 66x) = 3806$$ => $$frac{66x}{15} = 3806$$ => $$x = frac{3806 imes 15}{66}$$ => $$x = 865$$ $$ herefore$$ Total amount that Mr. Sharma has = 100 * 865 = Rs. 86,500
