    Average runs scored= $$frac{Runs Scored}{NumberOfMatches}$$ Total number of runs in 13 matches = 13*42 = 546 Number of runs scored in first 5 matches = 5*54 = 270 Runs scored in remaining 8 matches = 546-270 = 276 Average in remaining matches = $$frac{276}{8}$$ = 34.5
