Let the common radius be "r" units area of sphere = 4$$pi r^2$$ area of hemi-sphere = 2$$pi r^2$$ + $$pi r^2$$ = 3$$pi r^2$$ $$frac{ ext{Area of Sphere}}{ ext{Area of Hemisphere}}$$ = $$frac{4pi r^2}{ 3pi r^2}$$ = $$frac{4}{3}$$
