Let total population of city = 100 Total number of illiterates = $$frac{40}{100} imes 100=40$$ Number of poor people = $$frac{60}{100} imes 100=60$$ => Number of rich people = $$100-60=40$$ Now, number of rich who are illiterate = $$frac{10}{100} imes 40=4$$ => Remaining illiterates are poor = $$40-4=36$$ $$ herefore$$ Percentage of the illiterate poor population = $$frac{36}{60} imes 100$$ = $$36 imes frac{5}{3}=60\%$$ => Ans - (B)
