In $$ riangle$$ ABC, $$(AC)^2=(AB)^2+(BC)^2$$ => $$(AC)^2=(6)^2+(8)^2$$ => $$(AC)^2=36+64=100$$ => $$AC=sqrt{100}=10$$ cm $$ecause$$ D is the mid point of AC, thus AD = DC = 5 cm Also, $$(BD)^2 = (AD) imes (DC)$$ => $$(BD)^2 = 5 imes 5 = 25$$ => $$BD=sqrt{25}=5$$ cm => Ans - (B)
