    Lets mark F to be in position 1 as shown in the diagram below. So, A is in position 6. B is in position 3. K is in position 8. D is in position 5. The only possibility for C and H is that C is in 7 and H is in 4. No other vacant spots are separated by 3. Similarly, E has to be in 9 and G in 2. The diagram for the question is as shown below: That answers the question.
