Let radius = 10 cm => Area of circle = $$pi (10)^2 = 100 pi$$ sq. cm If radius is increased by 14%, => New radius = $$10 + frac{14}{100} imes 10 = 11.4$$ cm New area = $$pi (11.4)^2 = 129.96 pi$$ sq. cm => % increase in area = $$frac{129.96 - 100}{100} imes 100$$ = 29.96% => Ans - (B)
