Slope of line passing through $$(x_1,y_1)$$ and $$(x_2,y_2)$$ is $$frac{y_2 - y_1}{x_2 - x_1}$$ => Slope of line passing through (3,1) and (8,2) = $$frac{2 - 1}{8 - 3} = frac{1}{5}$$ Let slope of line perpendicular to it = $$m$$ Also, product of slopes of two perpendicular lines = -1 => $$m imes frac{1}{5} = -1$$ => $$m = -5$$ => Ans - (A)
