    Let the unknown term be a. Finding square root of large numbers can be difficult.Hence we can write it in terms of its prime factors. 1296 can be written as $$2^{4} imes 3^{4}$$. $$sqrt{1296}$$=$$sqrt{2^{4} imes 3^{4}}$$=$$2^{2} imes3^{2}$$ $$sqrt{a}$$ = 36 + 12 =48 a= $$48^{2}$$. Hence Option B is the correct answer.
